Salil has over 31 years of diverse experience spanning both industry and consulting in leadership roles with P&L responsibility. He brings with him an effective blend of technical and management knowledge acquired during his career in India and overseas. He has worked with the C-suite across businesses and industry verticals and developed a holistic perspective and the width and the depth to help unlock value in businesses. He is excited about creating new businesses and driving growth through appropriate strategy.
He has 17 years of consulting experience in business strategy, process reengineering and post merger integration. He has helped clients in deriving sustainable value through acquisitions and in enhancing performance by integrating people, process and technology and adopting quality tools like Six Sigma, LEAN and Business Process Management. He has managed large programs and has helped organizations create value through higher productivity, faster service and lower costs.
His experience spans across manufacturing and service organizations and he has done projects across industry verticals namely – IT, ITES, telecom, retail, infrastructure, entertainment and media, hospitality, healthcare, consumer goods, logistics, cement, heavy engineering etc. He has also worked with the government and with development organizations in a consulting role.
He has led and driven new initiatives and successfully been involved in creating new businesses. In these roles he provided the leadership for institution building and leveraged his techno-commercial capabilities. He has wide domain knowledge across operations, human resources, information technology, finance & accounts and marketing.
He is a pioneer in the Business Process Outsourcing area and has been involved in planning and executing strategies to outsource business processes to India. He has been involved in start ups and in supporting existing organisations. He created the transition tool kit for the outsourcing industry and has worked with diverse processes across industries.
He is a trained trainer and has designed and conducted programs in the areas of relationship skills, Six Sigma, Kaizen, project management, change management, communication skills, meeting effectiveness, time management, team working, leadership, conflict management, customer service, train the trainer and creativity.
